Taking forward the national campaign ‘Swachh Bharat: Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan’, Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. took up the construction of toilets for Charan Kabi Mukund Das Jr. High School, Mukundpur and Mollarhat Junior High School, Tollygunge in Kolkata. Ms. Manjusha Bhatnagar, Director [HR&CA], Balmer Lawrie inaugurated the toilets amidst school authorities and students. The Company will be constructing/refurbishing a total of 306 toilets in Government Schools covering states of Assam, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. 196 toilets have already been completed and handed over, while the rest will be completed shortly. In West Bengal the Company has taken up the construction of 81 toilets across 42 schools as assigned by MoPNG.
